Some people believe that the Earth is being harmed (damaged) by human activity. Others feel that human activity makes the Earth a better place to live. What is your opinion? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Nowadays one of the most important and crucial issues is environmental protection. Although I concede that people make the Earth a better place to live, for example by variety of inventions in medicine or beautiful architecture at least, I believe that humans’ impact on the Earth is rather negative than positive. In this essay I will name several reasons to support my opinion.
First of all, people use a vast amount of natural recourses. Every year reserves of the most necessary things for living such as fresh water and forest are reduced. As a result of careless using of these some countries suffers from lake of water. Additionally, it harms ecology on the planet and leads to natural disasters.
Secondly, the Earth is damaged a lot by pollutions. There is no doubt that factory, hydropower put out harmful substances and chemicals in the air and water. Besides, every day countless amounts of plastic and synthetic items are produced and thrown away by people. It causes huge consequences for environmental such as for example greenhouse effect.
Finally, human often have very cruel attitude to the planet and leaving creatures. As we all know, by reason of people hunting numerous kinds of animals disappeared or became very rare. Despite this, people are keeping on kill animals and fish, even when it is forbidden, both for money and entertainment.
In conclusion, my strong opinion is that human beings have been destroying the planet for thousands of years by cutting forests, different pollutions and hunting. However, I try not to be pessimistic, because I believe people still can fix all the mistakes. The main thing is that humanity seriously took thought about global problems.
